Boeing 747 ferry and delivery flights

A 747 movement puts pressure on everything at once: runway length, ramp space, fuel uplift and handling capability. We plan these around fields that can genuinely take the aircraft rather than fields that look right on a chart.

  • The largest airframes we move
  • Freighter and passenger airframe movements
  • Part-out positioning to teardown facilities
  • Fields checked for runway, ramp and fuel capability
  • Permit coverage for heavy widebody routings

Field capability comes first

Before anything else, we confirm the departure and arrival fields can take the aircraft at the weight it will actually be operating. Runway length, pavement strength, ramp space and fuel uplift all get checked, and technical stops are chosen the same way.

Freighter movements

Most 747 work now is freighter work. Cargo door status, loading equipment and any main deck restriction feed into the plan, and we keep the customs filings aligned with whatever is or is not on board.
