Customs
Aircraft export customs clearance from the United States
An aircraft leaving the United States for a new owner or a new registry has an export side to it, and it is the part most sellers discover late. We file the export directly and line it up with the departure flight.
- Out clean, on time
- Export filings prepared and submitted by a CBP-bonded team
- Coordinated with deregistration and the new registry timeline
- Exporter of record service available
- Departure port and timing planned with the ferry crew
Export and deregistration run together
A sale abroad usually has three clocks running at once: the customs export, the FAA deregistration and the new state of registry issuing marks. If those are handled by three parties who are not talking, the aircraft waits.
We keep the export filing in step with the registry work so the aircraft departs on the day it is supposed to, under the marks it is supposed to wear.
What we need to file
Aircraft identity and value documentation, the buyer and destination country, the departure port and date, and the crew details for the outbound manifest. Where the aircraft is being exported before the sale completes, we look at the sequencing before anything is filed.
